Registered Nurse · Aspiring Nursing Team Supervisor

Seven years at the
bedside. Ready to
lead the ward.

I'm Ahmad Zia Nasrat, a Registered Nurse with 7+ years of frontline clinical experience. I'm devoted to patient-centered, high-standard care — and ready to grow into nursing leadership: guiding teams, coordinating care, and supporting colleagues in demanding and resource-limited settings.

About

Patient care first. Leadership earned through consistency.

Over 7 years in clinical and emergency healthcare settings have taught me that steady care under pressure is a discipline, not an instinct — one built shift by shift. From general medical-surgical nursing at Zubair Hospital to trauma and emergency care with Emergency NGO's surgical centre in Lashkar Gah, I supervised staff, coordinated patient care, and kept documentation and infection-control standards exact even when the ward was full. Earlier this year I was selected for the reserve pool following an MSF Nursing Team Supervisor recruitment process (Helmand), which only sharpened my goal of leading a team in the field. What draws me to MSF is the same thing that drew me to trauma nursing in the first place: care that goes to where it's needed most, without asking questions of geography or circumstance. I want to bring that same steadiness to a team — making sure the people beside me have what they need to do their best work, especially when conditions are hardest.
